Business
English
The Business Management Institute
has a range of English courses available for busy professionals
who wish to improve their level of proficiency in the
English language. Tuition is availasble on specialised
business topics in one-to-one intensive tuition or in
small group settings of up to five people. Course structure
can be adapted in consultation with clients
to satisfy particular needs. We also send our qualified and experienced native English tutor
to client offices to suit busy schedules.
A personal approach
ensures every course is tailored to individual requirements
and the relevant level of proficiency in the English
language. Each participant is requested to complete
a 'Needs Analysis Questionnaire' prior to the commencement
of the course. All necessary course material is provided
and study tasks are adapted depending on the time at
disposal. Participants are consulted during the course
to ensure satisfaction with the level and pace of tuition.
Accreditation
The Business Management Institute is accredited by the Advisory Council of English Language Schools (ACELS) which is the advisory body to the Department of Education in Ireland. As such BMI is recognised by the Department of Education for the teaching of English as a foreign language.
The Institute is also recognised by international accreditation bodies
including the Institute of Accounting Technicians of
Ireland (IATI), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants
in Ireland (CPA), the Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants (CIMA) and the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM).
Courses
Business
English
The Business English course focuses
on developing the practical language skills necessary
for the business environment. Each week's tuition is
based around a central business theme or functional
area. It is our goal to enhance the ability of participants
to communicate effectively in English in their work
environment by improving their grammatical knowledge,
language skills and overall language fluency.
General
English
Our General English courses are designed
to develop fluency and communicative skills among participants.
Areas such as English grammar, vocabulary, reading and
listening are covered during the course. Our aim is
to increase the participants' confidence in communicating
in the English language while performing the regular
tasks in life. The General English course is available
at four levels Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate
and Advanced. Exam Preparation for IELTS, TOEIC and
TOEFL is available on request.
English For Special Purposes
Our English for Special Purposes (ESP)
course provides tuition for a range of professions including
Financial Services, Legal, Medical & General Business.
Our courses are tailored on an individual basis depending
on the requirements of the client. These programmes
are suitable for professionals eager to improve their
ability to communicate in an English-speaking work environment
and indeed are essential for an international career.

• Each tuition session is a scheduled two hours per evening, once a week.
• Course location is flexible on agreement with
course organisers.

• The cost is €450, study manuals included.

• Course duration is 12 hours over a six week period.
• Each tuition session is a scheduled two hours per evening, once a week at BMI.
• Participants per course are consulted prior to commencement on their needs.
• The cost is €350 per person, study manuals included.
